The Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in the People's Republic of China sent information to the Rosselkhoznadzor on the current requirements for the supply of frozen fish and seafood to the port of Qingdao (China).
According to the information received, due to the current anti-epidemic measures, the import of these products without packaging, including in bulk, through the port of Qingdao is currently prohibited. Deliveries of regulated goods in refrigerated trucks or containers are allowed. Customs clearance and anti-epidemic inspection of each consignment is carried out within 48 hours.
All fish and seafood must be delivered to a special warehouse designated by the city authorities, or to one of the warehouses approved by the city headquarters for coronavirus infection control. There, swabs are collected from the packaging of goods and container walls and tested for the COVID-19 agent by PCR, as well as complete disinfection of shipments is performed.
According to available information, there are 14 such warehouses in Qingdao, with a total average daily capacity of about 200 containers (maximum-260 containers). Among these 14 warehouses, there are 3 special ones dealing with Russian products, the average daily capacity for all of them is about 20 containers.
If PCR results are positive, the swabs are taken again and re-tested. If the the new coronavirus infection agent is detected for the second time, the products are seized and disposed of.
If the PCR test shows a negative result, the regulated goods will be released into circulation accompanied by the appropriate permits.
Please note that these measures are taken in relation to all suppliers of fish and seafood to China, both from Russia and from other countries.
