The Rosselkhoznadzor took part in the meeting of the working group on regulatory impact assessment of Eurasian Economic Commission draft decisions. The parties discussed the progress of finalizing the Draft, which assumes the consolidation of norms on the use of risk-based approach in the implementation of veterinary control (surveillance) in the EAEU legislation.
Belarus and Russia supported the proposed version of the Draft. It was also supported by the expert of the working group on regulatory impact assessment of the EAEC draft decisions.
However, at the end of the meeting, the representatives of Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan stated the need for additional study of the issue for the harmonization of the EAEU norms with national legal regulations. The EAEU member states will present their position in the near future.
If approved by all the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, the Draft will be re-forwarded for regulatory impact assessment.
The adoption of amendments to the Regulation will allow use of a risk-based approach in the implementation of veterinary control (surveillance) in the EAEU customs territory during export-import operations.
