Ban on Export of Poultry Products from Russia to Ghana was Lifted

Following the results of the work done together by the Rosselkhoznadzor and the Ministry of Food and Agriculture of the Republic of Ghana, with the assistance of the representative of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Ghana, the Ghana Competent Authority lifted the restrictions, previously imposed due to highly pathogenic avian influenza on import of poultry products from the Russian Federation.

These goods are possible to be exported again from April 19, 2021 from the entire territory of Russia.

These products can be supplied by those Russian establishments that are not located in zones under restrictions in accordance with the regionalization of the Russian Federation for highly pathogenic avian influenza.

Temporary restrictions on export of poultry products from Russia were introduced in November 2020. Before the ban was introduced, about 2.1 thousand tons of poultry meat and offal had been sent to Ghana from the beginning of 2020.
