Due to the aggravated epidemic situation of the highly pathogenic avian influenza the Rosselkhoznadzor imposed temporary restrictions on import of live poultry and poultry products from several European countries.
Thus, the export from the entire territory of Romania has been suspended since January 29, 2021.
The similar restrictions were introduced today against the French Department Lot-et-Garonne and the supplies from Pyrénées-Atlantiques have been banned from January 18.
Since January 27 the similar measures have been taken against several EU Administrative Units: French Haute-Garonne, Swedish Kalmar län; South Bohemian Region of Czechia; Slovak region of Dunajska Streda (Trnava region). Earlier, from January 20, restrictions have also been introduced on the supply of live poultry and poultry products from the Cuxhaven district of Lower Saxony (Germany)
The import of the following products from the specified countries and administrative units to Russia has been suspended: live poultry, hatching eggs, poultry meat, ready-to eat poultry products (except for commodities having undergone treatment ensuring AIV destruction, according to the OIE Terrestrial Code), feed and feed additives for poultry (except for feed and feed additives of plant origin as well feed and feed additives produced by chemical and bio-synthesis. Besides, the transit of live poultry through the territory of Russia has also been banned.
