On January 22, the Rosselkhoznadzor held talks with representatives of the Agriculture and Livestock Service of Chile (SAG) via videoconference.
The parties thanked each other for successful completion of preparations for the start of the experiment on the full transition to electronic certification of pork and poultry product supplies from Chile to the territory of the Russian Federation.
Thus, from February 8, 2021, Chilean products sent to Russian recipients will be accompanied only by electronic veterinary certificates.
In the near future, the competent authorities of the two countries will inform the industry organizations and customs services about full transition to electronic document management. The parties also agreed to prepare an action plan for addressing emergency situations.
According to the SAG representatives, this is the first successful project for exchanging digital documents in the field of animal husbandry in the Latin American history.
The parties thanked each other for their effective work and agreed to continue bilateral cooperation during the experiment.
