Rosselkhoznadzor lifts several temporary restrictions on import of tomatoes and peppers from the Republic of Kazakhstan

Since January 19, 2021, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance has lifted restrictions on the import of tomatoes and peppers from Establishment "Greenhouse-Qaztomat" LLP, located in the Pavlodar Oblast of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 

The decision was made on the basis of the agreements reached, as well as the results of the information analysis received from the Committee of State Inspection in the Agro-Industrial Complex under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan concerning recently taken phytosanitary measures in relation to tomatoes and peppers, produced by the company and measures, taken by the Agency to prevent the import and export from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan of products infected with tomato rugose fruit virus.

These vegetables will be imported under the guarantees of the Committee of State Inspection in the Agro-Industrial Complex under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 

The import of tomatoes and peppers from the Pavlodar Oblast of the Republic of Kazakhstan was banned from December 16, 2020 due to the detection of the Tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV) in the products, which is under the Rosselkhoznadzor's temporary plant quarantine restrictions.
