Rosselkhoznadzor discussed issues related to stone fruit supplies to Russia with Plant Protection Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Resources of the Republic of Serbia

On August 14, the Rosselkhoznadzor held telephone talks with Nebojsa Milosavljevic, Director of the Plant Protection Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Resources of the Republic of Serbia.

The Russian side expressed its concern related to brown rot (Monilinia fructicola) detected in four shipments of stone fruit exported from Serbia to Russia by three establishments at the end of July.

Notifications on Monilinia fructicola were sent to the Serbian side.

The Rosselkhoznadzor asked its foreign colleagues to stop issuing phytosanitary certificates for stone fruits exported to Russia by those establishments, as well as to exclude them from the list of operators approved for the export of fruit and vegetables to the Russian Federation.

The Serbian Agency noted that they would act according to the notifications received from the Russian side. They said that they would exclude the above mentioned establishments from the list of operators approved for the export of fruit and vegetables to the Russian Federation. The foreign colleagues will inform the Rosselkhoznadzor about all the measures taken.

The Russian side noted the importance of preventing further import of quarantined products that do not meet the requirements of the RF and EAEU legislation.
