Visit of the Rosselkhoznadzor official delegation in Finland
According to agreements between the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance and the Food Safety Authority of the Republic of Finland (EVIRA) a visit of the Rosselkhoznadzor official delegation in Finland took place during a period from 25 to 27 November 2014 with the aim to inspect the arranged for shipment in the Russian Federation seed potato.
The Russian delegation was headed by Irina Andreyevskaya, Deputy Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for St.-Petersburg and the Leningrad Oblast. The Working Group consisted of specialists of the given Administration as well as specialists from the Department for Plant Quarantine and Protection of the FGBI "Leningrad Interoblast Veterinary Laboratory".
According to the preliminary information of the Finnish Partner specialists of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for St.-Petersburg and the Leningrad Oblast and FGBI “Leningrad Interoblast Veterinary Laboratory” carried out pre-shipment examination of seed potato intended for supply in the Russian Federation and collected samples for necessary investigations. Besides, during their stay in the Republic of Finland the Rosselkhoznadzor specialists became acquainted with monitoring of cultivation sites and a system for seed potato certification as well as a system for certification for export in the RF. Collected during inspection samples were delivered to the FGBI "Leningrad Interoblast Veterinary Laboratory". Subsequent to the results of laboratory examination of samples and consideration of materials of the Rosselkhoznadzor Working Group a decision will be taken on a possibility to export in the RF a certain volume of potato reported and provided for inspection by the Finnish Partner.
